About

I'm Adam Gullett, and like a lot of people, I just love how a photograph can stop time. That's the simple reason I shoot photos—I want to hold onto moments as they happen and share that feeling with others. Every print is a chance to step back into a particular time and place. My photography is driven by a simple, profound truth: The truest art is reflecting God's glory. My camera is just a mirror. I believe this because, as the Apostle Paul states, the evidence of God is all around us: Romans 1:19-20 (ESV): For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. I grew up in Kentucky, and that background has always made me appreciate the daily grind and the unique stories that unfold in front of us. I primarily work in black and white because I think it clears away the noise. Without color to distract you, you see the light, the shapes, and the true emotion of a moment. It just makes the story simpler and stronger—stripping away distraction to reveal the essential beauty and structure of creation. I'll use color sometimes, but only when the scene genuinely needs it to tell its full story. Ultimately, I'm just looking to capture the real-life happening all around us, pointing to the Creator in the midst of the creation. I hope my prints give you a fresh, honest look at the world and maybe take you back to a memorable moment of your own. We must never forget that God, the sovereign ruler of heaven and earth, is the source of all that we see. Psalm 19:1 (ESV): The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
