Witnesses to History

"I captured this scene at the Lincoln Memorial, creating a powerful study of scale and contrast. The iconic monument sits majestically in the background, its columns defined by bright light. In the foreground, I focused on the dark, compelling silhouettes of two seated figures, who anchor the frame and emphasize the vast, open space of the plaza. The stark black and white treatment and harsh midday sun accentuate the drama, turning this familiar landmark into a graphic and timeless moment of quiet contemplation in the capital."
